Hi! I’m a birder, and researcher, living with a disability. At a very slow pace, owing to an energy-limiting chronic illness, I’m in the process of completing a Master in Environmental Studies degree at York University in Toronto. The focus of my research is local plant biodiversity. I have a very broad interest in all fields of Ecology, and given my area of research I’m particularly interested in plant-bird interrelationships and Avian Ecology and Conservation more generally. I’m also deeply interested in making both birding and ornithology more accessible and inclusive. In 2023, I volunteered with the Enabled Birding Map Project (co-led by Birds Canada), helping to survey Tommy Thompson Park in Toronto. I hope to become more involved with similar initiatives in the future. I look forward to connecting with you!
