The Digital Research Alliance of Canada (DRAC) is seeking input on their National Data Spaces position paper. This is particularly relevant to the development of CanAvian, a national data space built around bird data in Canada (with support from DRAC). From DRAC:
What should National Data Spaces look like in Canada?
National Data Spaces are coordinated efforts that build on shared national infrastructure and services while remaining grounded in the needs, standards, and practices of specific research communities. Now, we want to hear from those communities.
We’re seeking feedback on our National Data Spaces Position Paper from researchers, librarians, institutions, infrastructure providers and others across Canada’s research ecosystem. Your perspective will help inform how National Data Spaces could work in the Canadian research ecosystem, the principles that should guide them, and the role DRAC can play in supporting their development.
