Great Lakes Marsh Monitors Needed

The Great Lakes Marsh Monitoring Program is seeking participants for existing survey routes in the Great Lakes Basin.

Participants can choose to survey birds, frogs or both. Frog call identification can be learned from the materials provided, but bird surveyors need to be able to identify, by sight and sound, the common birds in their local marshes.

To learn more, visit the website and review the volunteer Great Lakes Marsh Monitor Position Description.

If interested, check out the Route Activity Map and then apply using the Route Request Form.

For those outside Ontario and the Great Lakes states, please visit the main Marsh Monitoring webpage to learn about opportunities in British Columbia, Quebec, and the Maritimes.
